Coin Museum, Anjaneri
Anjaneri, Trimbak Road
India's first museum dedicated to numismatics, with coins from ancient times to modern India.
The Indian Institute of Research in Numismatic Studies at Anjaneri holds an impressive collection of coins, replicas and exhibits that trace India's trade and kingdoms through coinage. It is surprisingly engaging even for non-specialists and makes a good rainy-day stop on the way to Anjaneri hill or Trimbak.
