Panchavati
Nashik
The old pilgrim quarter on the Godavari, linked with the Ramayana.
Panchavati is the heart of religious Nashik. Ramkund, Kalaram Temple, Sita Gufa, Kapaleshwar Temple and the old banyan trees are all within walking distance of each other. Narrow lanes, flower sellers and old wadas make it a lively place at any hour.
Plan at least half a day here, and wear comfortable footwear.
