Brahmagiri Hill
Trimbak
The hill behind Trimbak where the Godavari begins.
Brahmagiri is the hill behind Trimbakeshwar and the birthplace of the Godavari, called Gangadwar. A long stone staircase leads to the top. Pilgrims and trekkers climb it for the source of the river and fine views of the Sahyadri hills. Allow 3-4 hours, avoid the climb in heavy rain.
