Igatpuri & Vipassana Centre

A hill station in the Western Ghats known for its mist, waterfalls and the Vipassana meditation campus.

Igatpuri sits at the top of Kasara ghat, with lush valleys in the monsoon and a cool climate year-round. The Dhamma Giri Vipassana International Academy is nearby (courses require advance registration). Day visitors can enjoy viewpoints, waterfalls and quiet walks, but should avoid trekking alone.
